The Institute for Jewish Spirituality
Courses, Retreats, and Offerings Grounded in Mindfulness, Guided by Wisdom.
In this 5-session course, we’ll explore Jewish mindfulness practices to help us stay awake, aware, and engaged with the news while maintaining a sense of balance. This course will be led by Jane Eisner and Rabbi Josh Feigelson.
Join us for an accessible and practical introduction to mindful Jewish living grounded in Jewish mysticism’s model of the “four worlds”—finding holiness in our bodies, emotions, thoughts, and spirit. Led by Rabbi Sam Feinsmith and Rebecca Schisler.
In this text study, Rabbi Lisa Goldstein will take us on a healing journey through the Torah, which has been called “Etz Chayim—the Tree of Life” for giving strength and hope to Jews for millennia.
Rabbi Sam Feinsmith will provide a weekly selection on the Torah portion from one of the Hasidic classics. This offering is designed for seasoned students of Hasidic text and mindfulness practice.
This course, led by Kohenet Keshira haLev Fife, will focus on the creative process, not for the sake of producing outcomes, but to explore how cultivating mindfulness in this arena can help us to bring more intention to our day-to-day lives.
Rabba Dr. Mira Neshama Niculescu will offer a year of weekly Jewish mindfulness teaching and guided practice informed by the Me’or Einayim and rooted in a theme drawn from the weekly Torah portions. This offering is designed for all learners.
